Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

There's also regeneration when you release the throttle, similar to the brakes.
Check the "SW" box.

The braking level is displayed as a percentage here, page 3

If I do regeneration with just off throttle I also need to set EBS ratio % correct?
Yes, the (EBS %) percentage is the same for both the brake and gas pedal.
The manufacturer doesn't recommend more than 20, and I don't know about that... I set it to 18.

P.S.
I bought myself an ECU Votol EM 100-2 GTS instead of an EM50-4.
We'll see what kind of beast it is when it arrives ))

Ok that is good information. Thanks. I am OK with off throttle regeneration instead of it on the brake switch. Maybe I will play with both. Do you know if there is a certain RPM the off throttle regeneration starts? Or is it every closed throttle moment.

Good luck with the new controller!! Let us know

It starts at any percentage or any rotation of the throttle/brake handle, but the reverse voltage at low wheel speeds is useless; at 50-80 km/h, things get more interesting.

Definitely a ser! :)

Hello

My motor is 60degree phase (3000w) and my votol EM100 96v (2024 version, very new) does not like, it seems... vendor said (varchea) that this version will not work with 60 degree phase angle... mmmm strange.... it works but sometimes glitches and it gives MOTOR HALL error in the display screen. Wonder if can use this converter to change 60 to 120 degree phase simply by adding to the hall wires.

Hello, witch motor you have?

anyone know how to enable votol software display calibration settings in votol software
my display shows 48 volts and speed shows max 25 Kph on all modes
but my software is showing 78 volts on pc
Thanks

The program doesn't have display calibration.
The display itself needs to be calibrated or adjusted.
The display can also be locked at 25 km/h, and this can't be fixed.
What kind of display is it?

Thanks

You can use any china display with Votol, BUT
the main thing is that it has a one-line connection (or one wire)or other abbreviation YXT
This is a complex packet of pulses containing all the display output data.

Hi all,

I apologize in advance for my level of English.

I have a Yadea G5 PRO scooter on which I will want to install an EM100 controller.

At this point, I can say that the scooter has the following characteristics:

3100W midd motor manufactured by Yadea.Hall angle 60 °.

2 batteries 60V, 32Ah, 45A max.

1.1V - 4.2V throttle operating range.

brake level: LOW

after scanning the whole topic, I plan to configure the controller as follows:

Setting 1:

Model: EM 100
Battery Voltage: 60V
Overvoltage: 72.5V
Undervoltage: 52.5V
Softvoltage: 55.5V
Undervoltage variation: 1
Busbar current: 45A
current phase: 9960

Throttle voltage set
Low protect value: 0.3V
Start voltage: 1.1V
The end of the voltage: 4,2V
high voltage protect value: 4,7V

Setting 2 :

Sport mode setup: not used
Downhill electric brake assist: not used
Speed limit setting: not used
Weakening flow conpensation: 34

three speed
Low 28/28
Mid 70/70
High 99/99
button 3 speed: on
Three speed default: Low
soft start: off

Setting 3 :

Pole pairs: 5
Motor type: ??
Hall shift angle: 60°
out put: to test
Moving assist and cruise: not used
double voltage: not used
reversing: not used

Can you give me your opinion on the configuration I am considering?

Thx !
Hi, are you still working on your G5 project? How's it going? I see a few small mistakes in your settings—have you got everything under control? Best regards, Arvid

Hello everyone,

I’m using a small 4‑wheel Chinese EV in a country where unfortunately there is no local service or anyone familiar with these vehicles. The controller is a Votol EM150, paired with a 72V 100A LiFePO4 battery.

I’m trying to solve some issues related to the gear/speed settings, flux weakening, current limits, and port configuration. Since there is no support available here, I’d like to know if anyone else is running a similar setup and could share their experience or parameter files.

Any advice on how to properly configure flux, speed, and current settings for stable performance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, As you know, I’ve shared a library of .bin files (currently only tested with the Votol software). I haven’t tried flashing them with ST-Link yet. If anyone has successfully used these files with ST-Link, I’d really appreciate it if you could note down your experience.

Additionally, if you’ve flashed a file successfully for a specific model using Votol software, please share your feedback so I can standardize the information and save others from repeated trial and error. Thank you all for your support.

Finally, if you have firmware you’d like to share, please send it via email to: nohlevel@gmail.com.

I already wrote that ST-Link is NOT possible, the device will be bricked. This is not a complete firmware file, it's 100% sure the firmware doesn't have a bootloader or something...
I personally checked everything, and the file size is smaller.

Replacing halls in a 205 hub motor. Going to remove the board and hardwire with new Honeywell SS41’s. There is a pre installed heat temp sensor or thermistor in the windings. I was not ever planning to install a temp gauge.

Can I snip these two separate red and black wires and isolate them with heat shrink? I am using a Votol EM100 controller and did not know if the controller has to see a reading from this or not. I don’t think it does but don’t want to get a temp error or anything.

Seems like the sensor is not hooked to any power. It’s just a simple temp sensor for if you have a temp display?

It's necessary and desirable :). It's not critical to not connect, but it's also advisable to disable the port in the program if there's a way
PA0-38:Ext_temp_KTY83_122 default or
52:Ext_temperatrue_KTY84_150 or
53:Ext_temperatrue_MF52_103_B3380

It will still work 100% of the time :)

Ok, I can look in port settings to see. I also asked QS and while they did say I don’t need to connect the temp sensor to operate, they did not mention anything about the Votol software.

Votol software
A sensor is useful if the motor really could overheat. Or if it's 80 degrees Celsius in the summer 😂
For example, the controller is 500A and the motor is 50A :p The sensor will cause the controller to drop the current.
My motor never exceeded 75 degrees Celsius in the summer. Then I bought a motor with a sensor. It's the same thing: it's a fine-tuning feature, and the controller's default setting is this: you can change it to suit your needs.
1. Limit the current slightly
2. Reduce the current significantly
3. Turn off the motor completely.

Hi, I have an older EM-200sp, does anyone know where I can find current firmware or an older, compatible version of EM configuration software? I can communicate with the controller with EM_V60 and EM_V3-EMsport, but it isn't compatible, when I do a write params, with voltage changes it clears throttle and start settings. When I set the throttle and start settings and do a write params the next time I connect they are back to 0. V6 shows SW: 2.2 and hardware: 1.03.
Thank-you,
Fred Troy

hello everyone i have a votol 150 is kinda old 2021 i think and the frimware is very old , which frimware should i update from the files in the mediafire? there is two frimwares one with em-150(CAN_BOOT)_HALL_30 OR HALL_94?

Hello
Are the features in the attached port settings on the correct ports? What do the ports do? Does anyone have detailed documentation? Can you help?

There are three automatic transmission options: D, N, and R, but I'm not entirely sure if it works according to speed limits. I think it should automatically switch between L, M, and H modes when I put it in D, but during driving, whichever L, M, or H mode is clicked on the controller stays clicked, and putting it in High doesn't increase or decrease the speed. There's no change in speed when in L or M gears either. What is the working principle, or are the ports incorrect?

There's also a speed limit for reverse gear, but my car gets stuck on a slight incline when reversing. Is there an adjustment I can make to increase the torque in reverse gear?
