Walmart Canada selling $799 CND Triumph bikes

Just found out bike is on clearance as of April 8th, 2010. And is now only $349.95!!!!!!!! I am in the process of buying the last one in one store, they had two. Unfortunately couldn't find the key........what a surprise. Still have not heard if they have found said key but bike is on "hold" for me even tho they normally do not hold clearance items!

Hey mannekin... welcome to the Sphere... Can ya yell where this store is? Still have one left do they? Can ya chat `em up? Ask if they are clearing room for more product? If so, what? Just a thought, at that price I woulda bought both and put one on Craigs List... drive yer cost down some more

Hmmm, I wonder where that last bike without the key is??? Could it be at the Walmart in Victoria BC??? Might they even discount it further as it doesn't have a key??? Hmmm???

Hi. I picked up one of these today at Walmart in Amherst N.S. for $350.00. Headlight was broken but the bike is new and with the lion batteries it was too good to pass up. I have been told the speed cutout can be disabled so I will have to get the details from him. Bike works well other than the speed thing.

Wow...Ya, good deal Tsirg... surprised you found a Walmart employee that claims to know something about the product :)
I see the old listings for an ebike on the Walmart site have gone now and a search turns up zero ebikes right now. Have to wonder watt Walmart is thinking... whether they bought any ebikes for this new season.

There was a bit of rumor here that wal(ofchina)mart was bringing in the electric bikes that look like scooters then that they had to send them all back because they actually bought electric mopeds (60km/hrs+) So my guess is that a purchasing agent screwed up big time and the corporation made a decision not to get into something they didn't understand.

Was going to buy a BionX system for $1600, but bought a triumph for $350 instead (in Ottawa). Last one in the store and it had obviously been returned by someone else. However, I have a 90 day return period, so I'm not too worried.

It didn't have keys, but WalMart went out of it's way to get me keys. First I had to return the bike, then walmart contacted triumph which sent walmart about 1000 keys. The managers tried the keys 1 by 1, until they found the right one! Then I bought the bike back. I guess triumph is not familiar with the "serial number" concept.

Anyway, no keys (initially), and no manual! Can anyone tell me how long I should charge the battery? Is there anything about the bike that is not obvious, even to a total newby? Also, the front headlight is disconnected and there are two wires hanging from the taped up set of wires running under the main post of the frame. It's pretty clear that one or both of these wires is supposed to connect to the headlight. It's clear where one of the wires plugs into, but it's not clear where the second one goes. Could anyone tell me?

Finally, I think it's obvious WalMart doesn't know much about this whole e-bike thing since I got mine from the toys department.
