What is this mechanism?

Hello!

Could anyone enlighten me on this? What are those for that are on the picture on up left? Springs pushing cylinders towards a planetary gear part.
They add friction, and without them, the motor runs more freely. What is the purpose of those? It looks like that it's one way only, but it still goes both directions.

EDIT: And nevermind... The motor just spins freely inside the casing without those... I figured it out :)

It must be roller clutch of some sort. I was wondering about this myself and had opened a thread related to this. My clutch is all sealed though. The only way I can see the rollers would be to pry apart the clutch and destroy it in the process. Your clutch seems to be serviceable. What motor is that in the images?
