26" MTB Forks with IS disc mount

Hi,

I have miguelleart's front torque arm which I want to use for a 2WD in the future.

I need 26" MTB forks with IS mount but I'm finding it really hard to find.

Suntour make forks with IS mounts but I can only seem to find 700c forks.

Annoyingly CRC were selling some Marzochhi TXC 2 2008 forks dirt cheap which have the IS mount, I only bought one pair and have used them on my wife's bike.


Does anyone know a Make and Model of 26" forks with IS mount?

It sounds like you're talking about almost all 26" forks made today. IS is the kind with two unthreaded holes on a tab; the other usual one is post mount, with threaded bosses sticking out of the back of the left fork leg.

You should have no problem finding an IS tabbed fork for any wheel size these days, in a rigid or suspension version.

Also, a disc brake only 29er fork does not care what size wheel is in it (though your bike frame may care how long the fork is).

Last time I paid much attention to them, most suspension forks had IS tabs too. It looks like most of them have switched to post mount in the meantime, which used to be just a Manitou thing. Seems like a step backwards, which sort of befits suspension forks for bicycles.
