gas price thread

I want cheaper energy.

But it is inifficient seeing every car on the road being a giant SUV or pickup and with one person in it.

i expect the rebound to be almost as dramatic as the recent short squeeze and it is possible we will see $150 crude again in less than 2 years.

If oil price is going to treble shouldn't we all be mortgaging everything we own to buy oil futures?

Yes, if you knew it to be true. But no one knows, even if they think they do. And even if they turn out to be correct, they still didn't really know it now.

Gasoline prices in South Carolina fell another 4.1 cents during the past week to an average of $1.96 per gallon, the lowest in the nation and the only state under $2 a gallon.
The price of gas is about $1.18 less than this time last year and 23 cents lower than one month ago, according to gas price service GasBuddy’s survey of more than 3,000 gas outlets in the Palmetto State.
By comparison, the national average for a gallon of gasoline fell 6.1 cents last week to $2.39 a gallon. That’s about $1.04 less than this time last year and about 20 cents lower than one month ago.
“Not only did Labor Day weekend see millions of Americans take to the road and spend far less than they did last year at the pump, but a growing number of them were able to fill up at under $2 per gallon for the summer’s last hurrah,” said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst. “Better than one in 10 stations in the country now offer gasoline prices at $1.99 per gallon or less, and gas prices in 48 of the nation’s 50 states fell in the run-up to the holiday itself, showing that holidays aren’t always a catalyst for price increases.”
GasBuddy expects prices to continue moving lower, with a projection by Christmas of less than $2 per gallon nationally, if not earlier, DeHaan said.
In South Carolina, the lowest average gasoline prices can be found in tourist mecca Myrtle Beach at $1.91 a gallon, according to motor club AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report. The highest prices can be found in the Charleston-North Charleston market at an average $1.98 per gallon.

YES !.. We all know it's just a matter of time before it's back up to $100 at least, ...so all it needs is a little confidence and spare cash to get ready for the big win !
.. Go for it .

Best I can do around me is $2.95 for regular, $2.39 for diesel. My truck gets about the same mileage as my V6 Mustang, I guess I need to shift some of the miles over.

2 cents per liter / 7.5 cents per gallon in Venezuela. That is govt subsidized, but Libya is 14 cents per liter / 53 cents per gallon.

anyone else see it going back up? We're up to 1.91 now... +9 cent increase over the last 2 weeks.

$1.94 Rochester MN

Regular Airwheel S5 $2.63, supreme still $2.89 :x

Was just in Cali and prices are similar to here in Vegas. Dropping little here and there but always jumping back up about every other week a few cents. It's around 2.50 right now but hopefully drops around 2.20 by end of winter.

Update: gas is on the rise, was around 1.89 and now it's back up around 2.50
