I looks like and older version of the Ultra.
It's too late here to call them now, will tomorrow.
Good for an assist project?
thanx

Id be all over that at $100. Just as a rolling chassis.
Looks like a great frame for a rebuild.
Nice low-mid speed commuter.
Small Lipo battery in frame tube, small geared hub & go.

Here's a Izip conversion blog

Brentis turned me on to a link, it;s a Izip Street Enlightened model.

The most valuable part on that iZip is the pedal sensor. It's supposed to be a true torque sensor that can accurately measure the cyclist's input to determine how much help should be doled out.

I see the NiMh pack is $500

Wonder how much Lipo could be stuffed into the downtube.

I'd be all over that at $30, no way $100. I'm a cheap bastard, and low end frames are dime a dozen.

If lucky, the motor is ok, but I wouldn't bet the other 70 bucks on it.

Used batteries are always worth zero dollars. But you could add some bux if you want a torque sensor, and can comfirm it's functioning.

I have to admit, I did recently pay a whopping $40 for a non working think ebike. But it did have a cool looking unusual frame. $25 for a new controller and it works now.

This frame has that "hidden" battery compartment. It would be interesting to see what would fit in there.

I think these bikes had nicad packs. I would be surprised if you couldn't fix the hub. What could have gone wrong?

These are still available new, $850 with free shipping

Duplicate threads merged and cleaned up a bit...

I eat my words. In those bad pics, I never spotted this was the one with the battery in the downtube. So that makes it worth more like $100 after all. I thought I was looking at an ordinary frame. I've seen that bike in person up close, and it's not a 75 buck new bike frame like I thought.

Fill that dead nicad pack box with A123's or Dr Bass recycled cells.

Well, she's not responding to either emails or phone messages, but she hasn't deleted the ad either

I was thinking $100 tops, you can buy the newer susp. fork/disc brk. model for around $800 shipped.
