Hyper bicycle mid-drive

So. Walmart still says "delivery tomorrow", but still says "preparing" not shipped. I'm not sure I'll be getting mine delivered tomorrow. Unless it's actually on a Walmart truck and so it doesn't count as shipped until it's out in the hands of a local delivery carrier.

Yeah, something's screwy with Walmart and this bike. I ordered 2 more when the price dropped back down. After 4 days of getting the "preparing order" message I had second thoughts and canceled my order, and now I'm in some sort of purgatory. After 3 days I still await an email from Walmart acknowledging my cancellation of the order (or not).

Maybe I should call them and find out, which I assume would entail a lengthy telephone journey. On the other hand, I might wait and see if they arrive. Delivery is scheduled for Monday.

If I don't see it at least as shipped tomorrow, I'm going to do a chat/call for the Walmart online, and if they can't give me an answer start raising hell to escalate to someone who can force them to ship ASAP.

The one I got was shipped from Kansas City, MO. They are long off the container ship.
It think it's more about the cost of shipping a seventy pound package across the country for free.
At $350 for the bike they're probably already losing money. Be cheaper to just give them away, cash and carry.

I got some of these last week. The front brake caliper was already kinda bent from shipping. Also not sure how the front fender is supposed to be mounted, i ended up putting it inside the fork legs on the axel. I already replaced the seat, even with the crappy brakes it rides pretty nice.

They have my date adjusted to 9 /18 now
I got an email from walmart saying it had shipped, but it was really just them making the shipping label. I think it took two additional days before it actually shipped and i got a tracking number from fedex

I bought one of these: Robot or human? .
It's an integrated mid-drive and it seems to work well, much better than my TSDZ2b mid-drive. The total bike is the price of a TSDZ2b motor kit. So, I was thinking of buying a few more just for the frame and motor. The problem is it's fitted for a quill stem threaded steerer tube. Would much prefer a standard 1 1/8" threadless steerer tube frame. My question: are there decent suspension forks for a threaded steerer tube currently on the market?
How did you mount the front fender?

Top was bolted to fork crown (and the bolt installed there was difficult to remove, for some unknown reason), the lower support on the axle clamped under the axle nuts.

Wow! I have a tracking number! Where Walmart says it is, assuming they get it into FedExs hands very soon, I might actually get it tomorrow. Big assumption though.

Yeah, they just shipped the 2 bikes I ordered (and then subsequentially cancelled the order.) Not that I need 2 more of 'em.
I donate a bike yearly for a local charity fundraiser, so one will go there. Otherwise, it's an heir and a spare para mi.
This order is coming from City of Industry, CA, so it might actually be here by Monday like they say.
I guess they have been sweeping their warehouses to expunge them from Walmart.
Long live the 20 inch fat tire folder, I guess.

It looks like only one of my two that I ordered has been shipped. 72 pound package.
If I'm lucky the other one I ordered has been forgotten about, but I doubt it.
Walmart never forgets.

Welp, FedEx doesn't even have the package yet, no way I'm getting it today, I can't imagine. At least the tracking # is created. Sounds like I'm getting this next week. Hopefully before I go out of town at the end of the week...

EDIT: Hmm...not sure if coincidence or not. Did a chat a couple of hours ago with Walmart, not sure if the 1st line agent actually had real information, said basically "it's not at our loading docks, it's somewhere with FedEx, just not scanned yet". And now FedEx says they have it. "Picked up" in their parlance, which I don't know if that means "we grabbed it from Walmarts loading dock" or "it was on our loading dock and we just scanned it". Dunno *shrug* But hasn't generated a estimated delivery date, probably will in some hours this evening after it hits the 1st sorting facility.

Good luck. Mine are moving. The two I ordered (and subsequently cancelled) are on the way. They were last at Walnut, California.
I guess the Web and wine don't go together so well because I'll have three of these, at least for awhile.

Heh, that's exactly where mine is at, guess that's where Walmart had the bikes in the warehouse or something.

That's odd in that this latest batch came from California. I'm either Saturday or Monday.
I'm so excited that I bought two cheap seats and pogo stick seat posts.
Still have to figure out a brake upgrade. The rear brake cable by my measure is 185cm. 150cm seems to be standard for the hydraulic brake. I know you can just buy the tubing and a couple of ferrules. I like amberwolf's Avid cable pull calipers, but they do cost a bit.
This might be a decent ebike, if the motor and battery holds up, and you pump about $300 into it.
Seat and pogo seatpost -- $100. Brakes -- $100. Fatter tires -- $100.
So, I come up to $700, including shipping and tax. That's seems like a good price if the thing is reliable. Not that anyone one would pay that.
But just wait, maybe the tariffs will end this era of the $699 ebike.

They created a label so will probably be way sooner once shipped it's 2 days usually. Mt 200 brakes will be first, you think 29 x2.00 tires will fit without fenders. I may put a 1000 watt DD hub on it if the frame looks strong enough. This setup as delivered probably will make it up any hill just not fast .

Walmart still thinks it's arriving today, no later than 2 hours ago. FedEx now says Monday, which sounds about right given where it's currently at and that they don't really do weekend delivery unless it's paid for.

Well, my bikes went full circle and are now back in the City of Industry. My FedEx delivery date is now next Tuesday.
I suppose the lesson to be learned is not to buy a new bike seat until your Hyper bike arrives.

Could be because the order was cancelled.

That would be the 7.8ah battery, the 10ah is out of stock. My bike shipped with the 10ah battery. Or do you mean a complete bike? That way you get a spare everything. The longevity of the motor is still an unknown. Though I've been doing numerous trips up and down hill, and so far all is good.

Just got done greasing and adjusting the rear wheel bearings, something that I would recommend straight out of the box for both wheels. That, and adjusting the brake calipers (though still junky brakes, just less obnoxious noise), and lubing the chain.
I did find the rear axle bent, the result of a cheap axle and bike getting bounced around during shipment I guess. It still works ok.
