I bought one from Walmart back in December i12 . Due to cold, snow and rain, have not used it till a few better days last week. While it does go the 15.6 mph advertised on level ground, acceleration was very very slow. There's a short 70 ft hill entrance to a shopping center parking lot nearby where it was not able to making it past the top. It would slow to 2 mph then stall and I had to get off and push. I doubt the hill is more than 15% grade.
I have checked battery voltage where it sagged 4 V to 37V (from fully charged 41.5V). I have also checked with a clamp on ammeter where it drew max 15A (per controller rating).
I filed a warranty claim with iScooter. They were surprisingly responsive and determined the controller was at fault and sent me a new one. What do you think? I have not installed it yet. Do you think it will solve my hill climbing issue? Here are pics of the new and old controller. They Look the same except the new one has an additional number "2" at the end of the p/n.
