Motobecane 40T moped conversion

Ya, I've been looking at the space inside the tanks and the rest of the stamped steel frames as good places for batteries and controllers. Lipos would be really easy to stash in those spaces, and then you'd have all that steel as a fire barrier.

Benjamin Nelson, Etek @ 36V, top speed is 40-MPH, "taking-it-easy" range is ~15 miles.

e moped here ...... I have a puch maxi frame if anyone is interested ....... the frame I am using is a moto manet All Aluminum tube frame ...... Mag wheels

I switched motors to take advantage of the enormous start-up torque that the old brushed eTek provides. I need my bike to launch me out of intersections because I ride in city traffic on a daily basis.

The R/C controllers weren't satisfying me and I wasn't interested in adding halls and working to make an Infineon do my bidding.

I'm really happy with the performance of the eTek!

In case you haven't seen my obsessive posting in the Battery Tech forum, I have a bank of 20 SAFT 27Ah NiCads on the way...

Time to regear for 24V! :(

What is that, a Peugeot?

Do you know of the Moped Army? Bet you can pick one up trolling around there. Nice bike! I had two Pug 103s.

I'm setting up to make a dozen Electrobecane mounts - CNC cut and anodized. These will mount an eTek or Mars to the 40 and 50 series Motobecane models. (The 50 is the same as the 40 in most respects but it has rear suspension. My bike is a 40.)

I have orders for three of these mounts already, at a target price of $150.

You may see a few of these fine folks over here soon!

Do you have a PDF of the mount? I'm sure I could make one, but if you've measured it already.....

...I've been considering a 50 that's for sale near me.
