Hi Danny,
Why speedict measures cadence from 60 rpm? :)
sorry i don't get it ? can you explain ?
when i choose PAS mode (for watch my cadense) speedict shows cadence only when it bigger 60rpm, if cadence less 60rpm speedict shows zero.

So if i order now I wont be able to get one until the next batch comes in... bummer....

hi evb,

can you send your port status to us for inspection ?

Current mode selected: PAS
Port 1: Speed
Port 2: Temperature 1
Port 3: PAS In
Port 4: PAS Out

hi evb,

can you send me the detail port status report ...

Menu "option" -> "port status" then menu -> "record" -> "start record" then ..... "stop record" -> send email to youself or to us contact@speedict.com

with this report we even know every second data :D

Hi Danny,
ok, I will try to do it :)

hi evb,

by inspected your log file, i have found the number of PAS sensor magnet you entered "1" normally it is "5" therefore by calculation your cadence seem to be corrected ! can you tell me how many sensor magnet your pas sensor has ?

:) I have no PAS sensor, I have installed one magnet to big sprocket, 1 rotate - 1 impulse.
I measured by another device, speedict shows cadence correctly but starts show from 60rpm.

interesting ...
what's mean by "I measured by another device, speedict shows cadence correctly but starts show from 60rpm" ?

can you pm me your installation ?

we will simulate your single magnet environment, may be we overlooked single magnet :)

it means I used laser tachometer Tondaj DT-2234C for check speedict cadence measurement :)

My installation is very simple - cheap bicycle odometer magnet installed to crankset sprocket, sensor installed on frame

I need to get cadence measurement for optimize efficiency of external motor, and it's very good you embedded this option in speedict.

i got it, the problem may be caused by sensor signal, i am not sure the odometer "on/off" switch type signal is match our pas sensor detection method ....
will discuss with our colleague tomorrow and try to simulate your installation :p

confirmed the odometer signal is different from our pas sensor detection method, why don't you install a pas sensor instead ? with 5 sensor magnet the resolution of cadence is much better than 1 sensor !

Hi Danny, thanks. I will install PAS, I used bicycle odometer for cadence measurement before.
...
I tried to use PAS, it's working and speedict shows cadence from 0, but I cant use PAS because in my installation a disk with magnets doesn't rotate when motor is working :)
A sample of same installation http://youtu.be/dgJJL4Keaqg

Danny, can you ask your engineers what's speedict method of cadence calculation?

not only the calculation method, the signal itself are totally different ... e.g. we can detect PAS on clockwise or counter clockwise, however on odometer signal (on/off) we cant tell it ...

Ive been sorta beating around the bush about this but IF I PURCHASE A SPEEDICT TODAY. WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT? You say you are out of stock again because you had to send a batch to resellers. But yet you have no resellers in the USA. I personally think you need a message on your site saying if they are out of stock and when the next patch will be instock. Im trying to support something new and what seems like an awesome meter but you cant provide it. Its like waving a free all you can eat buffet infront of a fat man but its just a reflection in the mirror
and no food exists. We are talking about this meter on the forum and the people that wanna hop onboard cant get it.

All I can say is from experience is (if he has them), you should have it in a week or so.

I'd be certainly interested in becoming a reseller for such a fine product.

thank you for your explanation !
we don't want to keep stock recently because the hardware itself is outdated, soon or later we will launch new and lite (cheaper :D ) hardware version.

cal3thousand, we are designing reseller / channel system, once we are ready we will put you on the list :D

Oh nice, a new version of speedict?

What will be improved? Better surge protection? higher voltage capability (that would really compet with the CA as it's for now the only one able to go over 80V)? Power switch ability? (that would be great too, I'm sick of unplugging my connectors lol).

There's so much that can be done on this little device to simplify the e-biker life :)
