Hello
First of all i want to proof that the Adaptto Mini works up to 60k erpm - thats means also Outrunner Motors could be use without problems.
We use the CPM Motor 10P 8W - up to 6000rpm
http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64789&p=990179&hilit=adaptto#p990179
I have to finetune the settings - but i am allready happy with the results i have until now.
Now its to cold outside to do long performance tests - but i will keep you updated to my settings with the outrunner motor.
I have following question - i use the firmware v1-RC9e
I have no "original" adaptto charging coil. I use another Charging coil - witch i had on stock. SER2918H-153KL l=15µ
http://www.coilcraft.com/pdfs/ser2900.pdf
In this thread there is anywhere the info that it is good to use an coil between 15 - 30µH.
Exists there anywhere more information what coil is good to use.
Are there any differnce between the orignal Adaptto charging coild and an "normal" other coil?
I think the coil depands on the input voltage / current / and charging voltage / switching frequenzy
Could anybody confirm the number of the inductance?
I personally think the inductance should be higher.
With my choosen coil, the charging work not verry well - the coil getting warm/hot - when i charge with more than 5A.
The coil is rated for 15A. Exists there any ideas to my problem?
I use an 12S Lim Battery with maximum charging voltage of 50,2V.
With the Boost converter i can only charge if the imput voltage is about 40V. I think it should be possible to charge with an input voltage over 24V.
The next problem: With active Charging settings i have the problem when i drive with nearly no load and pull down the throttle - suddenly on the display "charging" appears. i have to manual swith in the charging menu - to disable the charging that i could drive.
How does the adappto detects the charging process? - i think about an negative input current - that would be obvious.
I try to play with the regen Settings - but no solution.
Perhaps anybody could help me
Another thing:
Why is it no possible to charge over the coil interface in an "normal" way - with an "normal" charger.
Up to 14s - 60V there exists some good quality charger devices - i normaly use to charge my battery.
The feature of the adaptto is great to charge with an constant voltage supply - but i like also the possibility to charge with an normal charger unit.
It should be no problem in this case only to switch the fets (use the fets as normal switch) - until the Endvoltage of the batterypack achieved.
This should be easier than now with the boost converter...
