new tsdz8 pswpower

What solution did you find for line 82? I planned on flashing mine today but don't want to if there is an error
Maybe better wait, because mstrans wrote that can be more problems now. I want to test litlle bit longer, because if sth is wrong I can easily repair (but after first ride its working fine).

I fixed now the issue with line 82 but be very carreful because I moved some fields to another position. When using the HEX file the firmware can't detect it and so some parameters are totally wrong (shifted)!!
The current version of the XLS has another "main version" now and so the firmware should detect the error and not run (giving an error 09 on VLCD5)
Thanks, I can test your osf on my own risk;)

I put on github a new version 0.1.3 of OSF for TSDZ8.
This version does not use the XLS anymore but a java configurator (nearly identical to the TSDZ2 configurator) that is in my github.
I also tried to include the latest changes made by mbrusa in OSF for TSDZ2.

Read the readme section to see changes (mainly how to generate the configuration and location of hex files to upload).

Do not use the XLS anymore. I will delete it because it is not compatible.

2.Generate the configuration file

There configuration file is generated with the same tool as TSDZ2: javaconfigurator.jar. To know how to use this tool and the purpose of all parameters, see the TSDZ2 manual at https://github.com/emmebrusa/TSDZ2-...meter_configurator_guide-TSDZ2-v20.1C.2-2.pdf Note: it could be that the TSDZ2 manual is not 100% up to date (the configurator contains perhaps a few more fields).

Thanks for the comment.
Mbrusa updated his site 2 weeks ago.
You can find different document here:

how do i open the java configurator?
I have nearly no experience with java but I think you have to install java jdk (it is said in the TSDZ2 manual). There is no need to install the other software (because they are for TSDZ2 compilation and llashing) . Once java sdk installed, you can use e.g. the windows file explorer. Double clicking on the .jar file should then open the configurator gui. At least this works on my side (with windows 10). Perhaps there are other users on this forrum that have more experience with java (e.g. if they already used the TSDZ2 configurator version in the past)

can someone help me with this? i've installed java jdk and when i select open with java on the config.jar file it flashes a black box and nothing happens.

Are you on windows? In my case I open the windows file explorer and I just dubbel click on the file with the .jar extension.
But selecting OPEN or dubbel click should be the same.
I read once more the TSDZ2 doc and it said that you have to install java "environment". No idea if this is the same/included in the java sdk?

I forget to say that you have to download all files from github (the zip file) and to unzip and respect the folder structure.
The jar program uses other files/folders that are on github. Perhaps this is your issue (?)

i have downloaded the whole git hub file and unzipped where it was. also i've donloaded java but not whatever java environment is. yes i'm on windows 10.

Also if any of you are interested I built a shunt resistor into my bike today and checked the tsdz8 just to see how much power it's drawing. Setting on the stand holding the brake medium hard and full throttle with stock firmware it drew about 20amps at 50ish volts. Meter said over 1000watts. So we have a starting point to go from. I didn't want to set the power too high but if it's already at 1000watts or more I bet we are safe to push it to 1200 or so.

ok i've got some new info. it says possibly the config.jar file was compiled with an older version of java? what version are you using? and also i just tried to open the old tsdz2 configurator.jar and it opens just fine.

omg ok so i flashed the new osf firmware to my motor. and i flashed the config.hex. it says my battery is at 1 bar. i'm using the vlcd5. and i get no throttle or pedal assist. motor doesnt work at all. what did i do wrong?
i used the configurator and set battery amps and all what i thought was correct. then flashed the newest firmware version from msrens github. and then flashed the config.hex file from files to flash on the downloaded git hub file on my pc. dont understand why i'm getting no power at motor. it works fine with the original firmware.

I started with the newest Java download and update 8. Then rolled back to the 21 version of their website and it worked. But still no motion out of the motor. I dont know if I did something wrong while flashing or if my configuration settings are wrong.

Thank you. I will try that. I haven't yet Segger clone so I can't test software on motor.

did you checked if the configuration hex file has been updated by the configurator. The date and time should have changed when you run the configurator and ask for compile & flash.

FYI, I just installed java 8 and now I have the same issue as you (dubble clcik on the configurator jar file gives an exception error).

I have to look for a solution but I have no experience with java environment.
