Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

Is there a port config in the software that allows for disabling the throttle and freewheeling the rear without regen?

Brake input cuts the throttle off but applies regen.
Park mode (as I understand it) actively tries to hold the wheel in place.
Side stand only prevents starting, but doesn't cut the power off if it's triggered during riding.
Antitheft didn't seem to do anything for me - could that work?

Mine when I release the accelerator regenerates 1amp.
and when I brake to 30amp.
is a votol150sp1 180a.
so I bought from aliexpress.
I can take photos of the 4 pages, if it works for you.

Hello everyone.
Im making my own ebike, i got a 3000w brushless motor, votol em-100 controller, and 60v 20ah battery, and throttle.
Can someone help me with a diagram to connect all together ?
I dont know how to make it run.
Maybe i need more extra parts ? please I need help with that

A minimal install is straightforward, no diagram necessary. All you need is: Halls to halls. Phases to phases. Power to power (battery). Throttle to throttle. Power switch on the purple. That'll do it.

You can add more stuff later, like speed and brake switches, lights, temperature probes, etc. but best to avoid them until you have motor function dialed in.

the thing is... I tried to connect and it didn't work, maybe i was doing something wrong for sure.
the controller has 5 pin for the throttle and i was confused.

Throttle not working ... as in everything's wired up, you've configured the software for your motor, successfully saved the configuration settings to your controller, reconnected the controller to your PC, re-established the connection, are staring at the configuration screen, and it's showing 0.00V when you twist the throttle?

If so, test your throttle, then double/check the wiring. Votol has three throttle wires, like every other controller. They're bundled with two others on a six pin connector, but there's only three for the throttle. They're identified by colour and clearly labelled on Votol's diagrams.

If you're still unsuccessful after making another attempt at finding the correct throttle wires, use a multimeter to at least identify 5V and ground. They should be pink (5V) and black.(GND). Then post photos of your wiring and describe the photos.

thank you so much for your response. I will do it as soon i reach home after work. Do you need to connect the controller to the computer yes or yes ?

Yes or yes, I like that, funny.

How'd you go? There's a bit of stuffing around the first time you use a Votol ... have fun and good luck.

Are you looking for a solution to the "power reduction problem"?
For me!! (FW2.33,em150,mittel motor, 5 polpaare ) the solution is:
TC1=1000
All values for "Temperature protection" are: 100,120,130,1000,9300,9428

I don't know what it does! But it works wonderfully... For me!
the same as mine em150 2.33 qs138
I also solved it by increasing the values of tc1 tc2 tc3. thank you
only now it's too much amperage
what are the values tc1 tc2 tc3 ?

does anyone know what the phase current values mean? Particularly on page 2 in vino's software? Mid flux weaking/starting phase current has a 4 digit value, and I don't understand what it correlates to. For example, is 9000 starting phase current supposed to be 90a?

There's a separate thread for this issue specifically, and we're speculating that 9600 means 100% of rated controller's phase current. Larger values add some, smaller values take some, noone really knows other than the designers.

Is that for page 1 or page 2?

I'm particularly looking into page 2- the "starting phase current" otherwise known as mid flux weakening in votols official software.

Also, could you link that thread please? I'm having trouble finding it.

Oh, the "starting phase current" was very hit and miss for a lot of people, i think. Depending on versions it could not work at all or work unpredictably.

I know it does work for me, but I don't know what the value actually means. Raising it from 6000 to 9500 had a massive improvement in torque, but until I know what the value actually correlates to I'm unsure if I can raise it.

That thread is talking about the "phase current" on page 1 which is more just something to do with the model. Page 2 is what I'm wondering about- the one in vino's version
