Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

Good Morning All. I have a votol EM-260SP, it only shows EM-260S on the plastic, and after trying a small change in the programming, after turning the bike off and then back on, it no longer functions. The red light on the controller stays on all the time and there are no longer any gears shown on my display and nothing when I turn the throttle. When I connect my laptop and open the software there is no voltage showing on the display screen.

My motor is 60degree phase (3000w) and my votol EM100 96v (2024 version,very new) does not like, it seems... vendor said (varchea) that this version will not work with 60 degree phase angle... mmmm strange.... it works but sometimes glitches and it gives MOTOR HALL error in the display screen. Wonder if can use this converter to change 60 to 120 degree phase simply by adding to the hall wires.

Yes, you can use that converter OR open your motor and change the middle hallsensor (face to upside).

I almost bought that Varchea's em100 96v, I was unaware about its rated voltage.

Votol controllers wont accept 60º hall degree (does not confuse with "hall shift"). I see many Asian using that 60-120 converter with Votol. This is one more reason to move to FarDriver.

Please help me understand one issue, I couldn't find the answer anywhere...
I am the owner of the votol em100s controller. My battery is 60v. I am trying to set 120A in the controller settings in sport mode. And the controller does not let me do this. After applying the setting and re-entering, I have 100A. The Chinese says that it is impossible to set more than 100A. Although the controller itself says 120A. The instructions say that 120A is available in sport mode on all types of battery voltage.
And no one can explain to me why this happens.

Turn on auto learn mode and let it run. votol hall angle can be set to -60 for hub motor. and i recommend you Vino programm ECU program Votol Vino download (accurate description to parameter boxes)
 
Hello friends. got a VOTOL EM80GTS on my ebike. all was working great but after a long time without using it the bike is not responding to throttle input. wheel is not spinning. voltage to controller is fine(72v). in the software i get HALL MOTOR fault. started checking with multimeter but on first test i don't even get the 5v from the controller to the Hall Sensors (red black cables).

can i still get the 5v even if motor is disconnected?

It seems for EM100 w/ SW:2.34 & HW:2.03, PC software "EM_V3-EMsport-SIA-1.exe" parameter description is the correct one, for e.g. busbar current is indeed the battery current (& not regen current as mentioned in Vino)
Yes I tested it with limited versions below 2.32, if you have the conditions to test it please help me turn on regen brake on your car and check if if you set " busbar current " at 5A then it will exceed 5A or not from there we can determine what that setting is. looking forward to your feedback

fw is limited, you have to use a modified version of it to be able to bypass this setting, I know because there are people selling it on facebook
 
Hello, on my EM200 when I use my 3 speed switch and only on Mode 3 I have had the throttle go out on me twice. The bike stays on and everything works except the throttle does nothing.

After waiting 20-30 seconds and cycling the key a few times it works again.

QS told me to try one of two things:

“You need to reduce controller current limit, or increase battery discharge current”

I am running a 200A continuous battery and set the Busbar current on page 1 to 185. I am not using sport mode but have a 3 speed switch. For current limiting on page 2 I set that to 190A.

I am wondering if the settings for the 3 speed switch are incorrect for mode 3.

This is not my screen but should I change the settings on high mode for the 3 speed switch settings? Maybe it’s pulling too much or not enough??
In my opinion, there are two possible causes: first, how is your BMS setup? Are you using a BMS? What are the charge and discharge limits set to? In some versions, the Busbar current limits the reverse charge rate—if you have regen enabled, excessive reverse charging will trigger BMS self-protection and cause a temporary power cutoff. Similarly, excessive discharge beyond set limits can also cause this. In addition to discharge settings, there's also a low-voltage protection level, as high discharge rates can significantly reduce the voltage of some battery types.

I can't change some values like:
Regenerative, Max phase, sport current...

I can change and save most of the parameters, but when I save those mentioned and reconnect they return to the previous value. That is to say that only those are "blocked" or something like that


I was researching and it seems I should do something similar to this video but I haven't been able to do it. I haven an EM100. Thanks in advance.

Try different versions of the Votol Vino software or the Dongwei version, which you can download from the same website. In some software versions, the max phase setting might not be adjustable.

In this few day I play a lot with the software setting.
Many option seems to not make any affect. Like the busbar current etc.

On the web I found another software that seems more truly.

I check the config import/export file and is identical a work better than the software that the seller send me (dun electric).

In this software, the busbar current is the REGEN current! I try it and really, is the regen max current! 🤨

The website is in Indonesian, but is "readable" with a translator.

In any case the software is both language.

When I tested earlier, electric braking (high brake used) was happening.

Currently I am away from that system, so can't 100% guarantee that regen brake is turned on, but the behavior as mentioned above leads me to believe it is on.

One of my tire is punctured ;), I mean a fracture in the leg, so can't test it soon. Hope to test it & give feedback at a later point of time after recovery.

BTW, are there any Votol app available from Vino?, I had earlier used fishblood's app available in this thread, but it was difficult to use in my setup.

I can't make self-identify for Votol EM50-4. The wheel makes a turn but then doesn't spin.
It might be a program issue. I can't find the correct program based on the controller model
EM50-4.
Manual says
1.2Choose the correct program based on the controller model EM50-4 use program 86.
I couldn’t find this app.

Hello, friends! I have exactly the same problem. After trying to set it up, the controller stopped turning the motor, the voltage in the monitor window is 0. Did you manage to figure out what the problem was?

Check side menu calibration voltage settings... Type 1000 or something and find the right value whatsver your battery voltage is right shown in display tab
