Man you put a lot of work into your build, What was the cost of completion? I have a Phatmoto gas bike with a burnt motor, thinking about electrifying, it can be a challenge with so many different tube sizes and non compatible parts. My shunt soldier job failed and fell off inside my controller, then touched a Mosfet and fried it. Crimping is better.

Using a controller designed for the power you want, is better.
Shunt modding a controller is dingdong stuff, like taking the air filter off a gas engine for better airflow. Generic controllers are too cheap to waste your rework time on, let alone hammer on with power levels their PCB traces and cables aren't intended for.
