Hello everyone I build a few boards and had some failures but i am in the process of building a mountain board with matrix pro trucks but i have a few questions. Looking at this website
https://www.hobbywarehouse.com.au/articles/how-to-match-esc-motor-lipo-battery-rc-car.html
it tells you how to get the right spec for correct battery to esc to motor.
Granted im still very New to making my own stuff.
My Build plans to be 8s 15ah 35c battery with 2 monster mamba lx 2
Gearing 12/72 or 16/72 on 200mm wheels. tacon 245Kw motor. belt drive 390-5m-15.

Lets start this process
Tacon 160 http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m608-bigfoot160-5335-245kv.html
2700 watt divide by 14 multiply times 8
2700/14=192.85x8=1542.8Watt motor for the power im putting in it correct
Motor Watt divide by volts
1542.8/29.2=52.83 max amp draw?

for the battery i am going to make my own Time for Math
Fortunately, there’s a quick calculation you can use to work that out as well. If you have the battery’s milliamp (mAh) rating and C rating (if it is given for both charging and discharging use the discharge version), then you can calculate the amperage a battery can safely have pulled from it. You simply multiply the mAh rating by the C rating, then divide the lot by 1000: mAh x C = A.
So with that in mind im building a battery pack LG Chem 18650 HE4 20amp current discharge 35amp max discharge
More Math
15000mah x 35amps =525000/1000=52.2
so that would be building 2 8s3p 1 8s6p pack to make 15ah to make the most of my set up correct? I don't have all the facts about all the parts but there is a sweet spot and I'm trying to land directly on it.I am reading alot of stuff about battery. I just want to make sure i make a monster mamba xl2 Mountain board that can handle any terrain up or down that have the best parts possible with the best performance and longest life to beat any stock. Money is not an issue. There is a lot of info out there and very few helpful/useful. I am making my own starting from Design stage which is done. if i have anything wrong please be nice about it. I have Free range access to a mill and water jet machine. Please look forward to my Mountain board build. and Please Be Nice and Helpful.

Trucks
1. SurfRodz Classic RKP Truck
2. Onda Motion - Onda Truck
3. MBS Matrix II Pro Truck

Did you see the most recent MBS truck.

http://shop.mbs.com/accessories-486/mountainboard-trucks-suspension/mountainboard-trucks/mbs-matrix-ii-pro-truck-system.html

Pretty nice.. They are $89.95

Although, you can also get SurfRodz Classic RKP's for $164 http://www.surf-rodz.com/kits/rkp/10mm-rkp-kits.html which I think is a better option for a longboard build. With Classic RKP, you can also choose any color which you like.

Wheels
1. MBS Pneumatics
2. Trampa Pneumatics
3. OndaBoard 7"

Wheels, you can use either MBS Pneumatis, Trampa Pneumatics or OndaBoard wheels.

The new Five Star Hub's are nice and only $40 bucks a set -> http://shop.mbs.com/accessories-486/mountainboard-wheels/hubs/mbs-fivestar-hub.html.

ESC

I would go VESC and 12S.

Motor

I would go with a 200KV to 240KV for a 6374 motor and put a keyway on it and use 15mm belts.

Thx Torque You have always been super helpful. all those trucks are amazing. I'm getting all my pictures ready to show my project. But what i have in mind is based on what i already have for spare parts i have 2 mamba xl2 2 talcon 160 245Kv 50cells of the hg4 battery new for another project that never got off the ground. I also have 72teeth and 80 teeth large pulley 12 and 16 small pulley but with my math ratio im only trying to go 25Mph with amazing torque. with the ratio of 12/72 with 8s i would get 25mph and with 16/72 would be 32mph. there is such a thing as too fast i come to learn my average speed is 20mph and rarely go faster than 30mph which is crazy for the streets i live and even more crazy since i wear no protection riding.
But your insight is amazing torque and your help Is a gift. but i think your right i might have to get some vesc since higher volts means longer battery life. Thx for the Feed back

Btw i turned those 2 mounts into 2 skateboards for my 2 girls they love it. I will also post soon with pictures.

This seems similar as evaluating like this (depending on how many V you attribute to "s") :
MAX current from MAX Voltage and MAX power given in the spec :
P/V=A <=> 2700/58=46A (MAX)
Power at 8s : P=VxI <=> 33.6 x 46.5 = 1546 W

Something fishy in that part... you mixed up some définitions in the math I am afraid... "C" unit is [/h]
so, to keep it simple, if you want a pack discharging at least 52.83A, you will need at least 3p since each branches of your pack would supply up to 20A..
